What's going on?

After bruising my knee in Schnalstal I took 10 days off from skiing and enjoyed the advanced springtime. I went to the Iseo lake and to the Garda lake for some relaxing days.

After that it was time to put the skis on again for the last days of the season. From April 29th to 31st I was part of the Disoriented Girls Camp as a coach. It was the first time that also Freeski girls were able to participate at this camp and I'm pretty sure it wasn't the last time. Here a few pics. Check also www.disoriented.com

Straight after this me and Snowboard buddy Simon Gruber went to the Schöne Aussicht Hütte where the rest of the Smith Optics Team joined us for the annual shooting. As usual it turned out to be one of the coolest weeks of the season. Backyard jibbing, perfect park conditions and Arnaud Rougier, Markus Eder and me were also blessed with some late season pow turns. It would take too long to tell you all the details of this week. Thanks to Franz, Flo and Susi for making it possible.

This were my last days of the season. Now I'm at home waiting for the Schnalstal summer opening where I'll stay mostly before visiting Argentina in August with an Italian crew.

In the meantime we also did a little skate shot with some lokal riders in Bruneck and Harald Wisthaler a good photografer and friend. Here are some shots. Thanks Harry!

The Mega Update

Was pretty busy last month but here we go with a mega update:

1) Clickonthemountain Fotocontest was really cool and when I was on my way home my teammates called me and gave me the good news that we won!!

2) Straight after Courmayeur I packed my car and moved to Obereggen for the King of Iron rail Comp. The setup by F-Tech Constructions was really great and the session was pretty funny.

I did some good tricks but judges were of the opinion that it wasn't good enough to take top spot.

3) 28th of March was arrival day of the Kronplatz F-Tech SPRINGgingerle 2011

We've been waiting for it for a while and finally the event kicked off.

4) Straight after the Invitational McRae, Luka and me moved to Seiser Alm to enter the Red Bull Jib Ski Kings. Markus & Lukas Schäfer followed us later. We went to the Ridersmeeting on Saturday evening were we get invited to a fantastic dinner as well. After the bip-drow everyone went to bed tired.

Next day we checked out the course and it was superfun. Alex Berger designed a bunch of really creative obstacles and it was up to us to shred them properly. I made it to the final of the top 8 but my run was to less technical to reach the superfinal. At the end Markus Eder took the topspot of the podium in front of McRae Williams and Andreas Bacher.

6) Last weekend it was time for the 5th F-Tech Shooting in Val Senales/ Schnalstal.

Needless to say that the park was simply great and lasershaped as usual. Unfortunately i bruised my knee on day2 when I went short on Big Bertha. Had to stop riding for the day and it sucked!!

Click the mountain, Courmayeur 2011

driving from Torino to Courmayeur

The last 4 days I was in Courmayeur doing a BC - Foto Comp. It was superfun and we were lucky with the weather whole week. Today on 12.30 we have to hand out a fotobook with 30 pics and Alessandro Belluscio our fotografer is working hard to edit all the stuff.

On Tuesday we had a preemeeting in the museum of the guides where we got all the infos reguarding the following days.

On wednesday than we went on the mountain early in the morning to check out some spots. Conditions wern't perfect but we found powder every now and than.

On day2 we went to the Monte Bianco cableways. We didn't want to loose to much time and ski down all the way to Chamonix (Valle Blanche) so we decided to do some shots on the Thoula glacier.

After that we returned to the Courmayeur resort to do some night jibbing action.

Day3 was great. We took the Heli in the morning to "montfortain". At the beginning it was a bit scatchy as the snow conditions were not too save but we found a few lines and cliffs wich turned out pretty fun and the shots are amazing.

Hi, let me give you a little update on what's going on..
Currently I'm in Livigno shredding the Mottolino park with my friends. My shoulder is hurting a little so I've to be careful. On Tuesday I will leave for Courmayeur to enter a bc-foto comp with Alo, Ach and a snowboarder I don't know yet. Pretty sure we'll have good times there.

In the meantime last work for our invitational is coming up. Check the riders&media list and the flyer below.

Prato Nevoso & Livigno Nissan Shooting

3 weeks ago we packed our stuff and went to Prato Nevoso. Every year the whole italian snowboard and freeski scene comes back to shred together for the first time in the season on real snow. There was also kinda relaxed contest where we got cash for every stylish and good trick. Cool format.

Of course we had a nice party after the action and once again props are going to Gherry for organizing such a good event. Thanks a lot.

After shredding in Prato Nevoso I went to Livigno with my friends Martin Premstaller and Andreas Bacher for a little shooting for the Sky program "Nissan - The quest". Unfortunately the park wasn't open yet so we had to be creative to get something done. Our friend Raffaele Cusini showed us some bikepark spots and so we could do at least some jib action.

After that we had to do some interviews but then we had an amazing dinner on the top of the Mottolino resort. I love Pizzoccheri, bresaola and the good wine of the Valtellina ;-)

Yooo whatup??

Jib4beer Tobias Vinatzer Invitaional went down Saturday 11th 2010. I was sure we'll spend good times there and so it was. After a good preparty on Friday at Luislkeller with lot of beer, buring hats, parking problems the morning after and bad bad hangovers we finally started the jib session in Tobi's backyard. After 1 hour of qualification these 8 riders went on to the KO final.

In the end Flo Geyer came out on top winning another 10 beers followed by young gun Juri Silvestri (he kicked me out in the quarter finals). The 3rd spot went to Daniel Tschurtschenthaler and 4th to Lukas Schäfer.

big ups to Tobi and his mother for making this event possible and we are all looking forward to come back next year!!!

It was superfun to be part of it and I have to say thank you to my buddy Matthias Leitner. The whole weekend was amazing. Started with the wellness on Friday evening it went on with some railskiing on the Kitzsteinhorn on Saturday morning. In the afternoon then we had the ridersmeeting and the Comp started in the evening in front of a good crowd cheering for the riders. Unnecessary to say that the party was the banger and we all had tons of fun.

Schnalstal... a new post finally

Hi,

after a long time without posting anything here is a little update..

I've been in Stubai and Hintertux few times in October before heading to Modena where I was for the Skipass expo and to enter a Big Air Comp. I sucked a bit during the comp but my friend Markus ended up 2nd and took some money home! Be sure to check out his brandnew blog!

After Modena I went to Schnalstal which is home of the superhot Gentlemenriders Nitro Park (who was there in summer knows what I mean). I helped out the guys there to shape a little bit and found the time to shred some early season pow.

Last weekend then I spent my time in the park shredding with my snowboard buddies Marco Concin, Max Stampfl and Daniel Neulichedl. Here are some covershots ;-)

Hopefully I'll be able to post more stuff in the coming weeks. Till then..

Kronplatz F-Tech SPRINGgingerle 2010

Markus Eder & Matthias Fabbro Invitational

The first italian Invitational is over and it was a success. From the 30th of March to the 3rd of April some of the best european skiers and newcomers gathered on our home mountain Kronplatz to hit some cool obstacles prepared and shaped by F-Tech Snowpark Constructions.

Even if the weather wasn’t as good as it normally is at this time the crew was motivated and ready to shred.

Day1:

After inspecting the the gap-kicker the riders went up to hit it while filmers and photographers moved in position to get their shots. Unfortunately the fog made it impossible to keep jumping after 3 or 4 test jumps and everyone went up to the park container again to get lunch. It was once again grillmaster Alex Berger to get the food ready for about 20 people. The afternoon was still very cloudy but the plan was to stay on the mountain for some night action. Riders used the time to jib around in the snowpark which offers endless rail combinations and other
stuff. After having dinner at the „Kron“ restaurant it was time to get the first serious shots done. The setup by night was just amazing and by the way the F-Tech guys did a really good job. Check out the pictures. Roy Kittler was for sure the rider of the night as he didn’t stop throwing the hottest tricks even if all the others had enough. At midnight everyone went down with the gondola tired but stoked.

Day2:

First Day was pretty intensive so most of the riders decided to go on the mountain not too early. Right decision since the weather sucked all day long. It was time for some jib action again. After having some beers in the park all the people went to the hotel again. In the evening we made it to an ice hockey game in Bruneck. The HC Pustertal had to win against HC Asiago for getting on in the playoffs and there couldn’t have been better supporters then our crew. All together we cheered for the Wolves and they won. The match was over and all hurried up to reach the hotel soon to get some sleep but not before an improvised snowball fight at the parking. Mellow day but next morning there was a sunrise shooting on the timetable...

Day3:

Alarmclock at 3.30am. Breakfast and a 30 min. drive to get on the other side of the mountain where a snowcat picked us up. The shaping crew was already on top to prepare the jump. When we arrived to the park we could still see stars on the dark sky which was super cool as we should get a perfect sunrise. The light was perfect and we started hitting the jump. The snowcat brought us up after every lap and the session was on. We continued sessioning for about 2 hours before we got our second breakfast this morning. Weißwurst and Weißbier was the right thing after the

early action. In the afternoon we still had to shred the canonbox so some of us went to the park again to get this done. Pretty cool obstacle as well and Markus Eder was on fire with some misty 450’s and 630’s off. Still tired of the past days we find our way to the hotel again to get ready for the evening. We planed a dinner at the Kron4 Restaurant with the whole crew. The dessert wasn’t a usual one as we had to try out the polish wodka brought by Marek and Wojtek. That was defenitely the kick off for the rest of the night. Down to Bruneck with the taxi we checked out nearly all the pubs and discos the city can offer. When it was about 2.30 am all the riders were done and only Johannes Drexl managed it to keep partying with the italian machines Raffaele Cusini and Matthias Fabbro till late. Big ups! Sebi Geiger was on a good way but had to give up on the last part of the night. Amazing boys!

Only a bunch of riders left for the concluding day of our event. Some mellow runs turned out pretty fun and the Photografers got their last shots. Little shooting on the rainbowbox over the gondola and chilling ‘till afternoon

Ciao belli!

Currently I'm in Campo Felice near Rome to do some filming for Nissan. There's almost no snow so we have to be creative to get at least some usable shots. After riding me and my friend Marco Concin decided to try out some stuff with the GoPro Cam and my Nissan. Unfortunately the police didn't find it was as funny as we thought... ;-) check out the video.

Livigno & Passo San Pellegrino

Hi out there!

I've been two times in Livigno during the past weeks and I must say that the kicker line there is very cool. Even if I only jumped on the L line because of the wind the first time and beacause of the River Jump Comp on the XL line the second time, it was very funny. I also had the opportunity to meet up with my friends I haven't seen for a time and obviously to do some party with'em.
We also had tons of fun at the Passo San Pellegrino a few days later due to the fresh powder fallen there. So watch the edit and check back for more stuff!

South Tirol Slopestyle Tour

The second stop of the 5th "Bank the future south tirol slopestyletour" is over. Snowpark Kronplatz was in perfect conditions and most of the skiers showed us cool tricks. At the end the rider on top was Zecchetto Marco with 2 really good runs. Techincal run: sw cork 9 tail to bio 9 mute. Style run: sw 5 double nose to a super sick 5 double reverse tail (!) big ups!

Next stop: 7th march Kronplatz

Finally a new post!!

Hi folks. After some busy weeks of skiteaching on my home mountain and endless hours in front of the computer to organize some events I found some time to ride. Last week I went to St. Kassian to do a little shoot for the Italian Sky TV with the Nissan team. We were filming for a transmission called „the quest“ It was pretty fun as we had to do and explain some easy tricks on boxes, rails and jumps. I hope I’ll get the video in the next days so that I can put it online. In the meantime some shots.

For the rest I’ve to do an unbelievable number of demo shows (26!!) around my hometown with the Vitamin-F Freestyle Club. I hope I’ll be able to film one of them the next days/ weeks to put a litte edit online.

New F-tech garage!!

Last week i've been in Lana to check out the new assembling garage of the best snowpark building company in this universe ;-) F-Tech Constructions
The guys are really good in their job and they put a lot of passion in it! This preseason I had the opportunity to shape at the Gentlemenrider's Nitro park Val Senales (also a product of F-Tech's work) and i must say it was a really funny and intresting time.

Like last year we got a lot of snow this early season and it was so much fun to shred some pow during the last days. I filmed a few runs with my goPro "helmet" cam and i find the edit wich came out of it is not that bad. So check it out and let me know what you think about it!

It's raining today so i decided to edit out some easy stuff we filmed when I was at Schnalstal. I hope we'll get some snow too but it's really windy on the top... At the moment there are -2°C and 40 km/h of wind. Let's hope the best.

Yesterday i've been at the Stubai zoo park to get some skiing done. the weather was amazing and the park was pretty fun. I also met my 2 friends Matthias Leitner and Ambros Fürstaller and the day was turning out pretty good. Unfurtunatly my other friend Armin wasn't that lucky and broke his collar bone in one of his last runs. After calling the first aid guy he was brought to a little clinic in Neustift where he did an x-ray. Look for yourself:
